SHELTERBOX LINKS

Shelterbox  is a Rotary sponsored international disaster relief charity that delivers emergency shelter, warmth and dignity to people affected by disaster worldwide. Each box costs $1000. The Rotary Club of Edmonds through its Foundation has donated funds for more than 10 boxes, the latest of which was for Haiti. More information can be obtained from their web site at ShelterBox.org link below. The organization has distributed more than almost 58,000 boxes. Since each will accommodate 10 persons which means they have provided shelter and relief for more than a half million people. These boxes contain many items needed for people who have lost everything. The Shelterbox photo link below will show you the box and its contents. Letters acknowledging previous grants, 8 to Agades, Niger in West Africa and 1 to Kavango, Mamibia Africa by Edmonds Rotary Club can also be read on the link below. The Haiti donation is being processed.

If you want to track the boxes our donations bought, go to the home page of the Shelterbox web site (link below) and on the right check our boxes numbers, 109, 131, 132, 133, 134, 135, 136, 137 and 138. Unfortunately, this feature is being revised so you will only get partial data.

If you want to help, you can submit your contribution to the Edmonds Rotary Foundation, Box 115, Edmonds, WA 98020. You will receive a receipt for your contribution.
